Born in Santo André-SP in 1959 and a professional photographer since 1981. He was one of the partners of Agência F4, the first brazilian independent agency of photojournalism. He is known by his personal production centered around landscapes and enviroment. His personal files have around 40 thousand images that document the history, the culture and the landscape of Brazil and illustrate hundreds of books of the main brazilian publishers, in addition to innnumerable national and international magazines, newspapers, guides, calendars and advertisements. He works on the production of photographs to the corporative sector, attending clients in the institucional area and specializing in industrial photography. In this area he shoots for publications like annual reports, catalogs and company profiles. Among others he has already shooted for companies like Cofap, Unicsul, Zeneca, Agip, Alcan, Basf, Nestlé, Telefônica, Natura, Pharmacia and Abbott. He also dedicates himself to teaching photography through workshops directed to the theoretical and practical aspects of photographic coverage, specially about landscapes and nature. He has searched still for new forms of artistic expression through photography. The results of these investigations are the photo-objects, which combines photography and design. He took part in dozens of expositions in Brazil and abroad, the most recent being the display Fotoformas: Suportes e Imagens exhibited in the Centro Cultural São Paulo in July 2001.
